Notice: MALWARE PROTECTION - Cisco Umbrella has been configured in our Cisco Cores ring.

Scheduled on 08/07/2018 09:43:00 Status Finished Estimated finish 08/07/2018 09:43:00

Dear SG user,

We have configured our Cores with the DNS that Cisco recommends for our NETWORK PROTECTION from MALWARES.
These OPEN DNS will prevent the infection of the server returning the virus to the attacker.

The CISCO DNS has been applied to all CLOUD Hypervisors, CLOUD cabinets as well as OS profiles of Operating Systems Provisioner, Anti-Spam VadeSecure and other internal platforms.

We recommend applying Cisco DNS to PROTECT from MALWARE your servers and routers, the name servers are added in the /etc/resolv.conf in Linux or Windows at NIC conf and you have to remove the ones you currently have.

The IP addresses of Umbrella (IPv4) are:

DNS Server 1:
DNS Server 2:

Then the 3 possible configurations.

Configuration on your PC: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/sections/206253647

Configuration on the server: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/sections/206253687

Configuration on the router: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/sections/206253627

We recommend making the changes soon your DNS resolution and your server will be protected from infections by TROYANS, BOTS, RATS and other types of MALWARES. You may remove the old resolvers.

Reminder: You have to delete the other resolvers and leave only those of Cisco.
